The Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) APAIE 2019 delegates are invited to a pre-campus tour organised by UTM Kuala Lumpur on 25 March 2019 (Monday) and followed by a campus tour in Johor Bahru on March 29. This is an opportunity not to be missed for APAIE 2019 delegates to visit our two campuses.

As one of the research universities in Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) aspires to be a well-known, innovative, entrepreneurial and global university. Its goal is to offer leading edge programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and strives to be excellent in academic quality and research accomplishments as well as students’ development both locally and internationally. There are more than 25,000 active students of which 13,780 are enrolled in postgraduate and 11,392 in undergraduate programmes respectively across seven (7) faculties. There are three (3) faculties in UTM Kuala Lumpur campus: Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics and Azman Hashim International Business School. There are four (4) faculties in UTM Johor Bahru campus including Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying, and Faculty of Science. There are approximately 5,000 PhD students and 4,000 international students pursuing studies in various fields of specialisation in UTM.

UTM has improved its performance and leaped 25 places to 228th in the QS World University Rankings 2019, making UTM to be listed among the top 23%. UTM will continue to focus on the fundamentals of quality education, enhancing academic and research capacity and instilling a strong mindset and culture to improve our reputation at the global level.

 

The objectives of the campus tour are as follows:

  • To introduce UTM Kuala Lumpur branch campus with an area of 19 hectares which is just 3.5 km away and takes only 11 minutes to travel from KLCC
  • To engage with as many partners and meet potential experts in diverse fields
  • To enhance collaboration and networking
  • To gain better insights of the best practices for continuous improvement for the good of society and universal wellbeing.

 

How to get there
Delegates will be picked up by coach from the Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur at 1:45 pm

How to register
Please be informed that there are 70 seats available for this campus tour of UTM Kuala Lumpur and these seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. This campus tour is free of charge and is exclusively conducted for APAIE 2019 conference delegates.
